Yoga Immersion Retreat:
Ashtanga vinyasa, Yin Yoga, Mantra & Philosophy
Wednesday 30th June – Monday 5th July, 2021
Join me and Jenni Crowther for an incredible five day retreat over the July full-moon and lunar eclipse, in the most magical setting. Both of us have been dying to visit Eco Yoga for years and now we get to share the place with you.
This 5 night retreat will provide the opportunity to develop an Ashtanga yoga practice, learn about the philosophical foundation of Ashtanga yoga (the eight limbs), be introduced to meditation practice, and take deep rest with restorative and yin yoga, and mantra chanting.
Check this place out…!
What’s on the schedule?
Morning Practice: Wake-up Chi Flow (combination of Tai Chi and Chi Kung) followed by supported Ashtanga Vinyasa practice.
Afternoon Workshops: A different aspect of Ashtanga yoga philosophy will be introduced each day, accompanied by practices designed to invite rest and stillness, including Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Mantra Chanting.
Evening Wind-down: After dinner has digested and just before bed, we will lead a short guided relaxation, similar to Yoga Nidra, to encourage the best night’s sleep possible
Is the Yoga suitable for me?
All levels of yoga experience are welcome, including complete beginners.
For those who are new to Ashtanga (or yoga generally) you will be guided in establishing the foundations of Ashtanga, so that by the end of the weekend you will have a sequence that works for you and can then be practiced at home.
For those with an existing Ashtanga practice, you will be supported in your self-practice each morning, having plenty of time to consult both teachers in developing the more challenging aspects of your practice (Primary Series and up to half-Intermediate welcome)
You are also welcome to join us in the yoga space in the morning to do your own non-Ashtanga practice and then join in the workshops and restorative sessions as you please.
What else is there to do?
Aside from sharing three delicious organic, vegetarian meals a day with your new retreat friends, there will be plenty of time during the day to revel in the magnificent landscape, take long walks and explore the natural watering holes, waterfalls and outdoor baths, hot tub and Japanese underground Sauna. Relax by the wood-burner, read in the library, gaze at the full moon. Book in with Maria for an Ayurvedic massage or Jenni for Reiki
