In Hinduism and in many other ancient religions the Sun is seen as the light of all life, an image of the Divine and the spiritual heart of our world. Ancient yogis teach us that the sun is a visible representation of the Self or spirit. We are all rays of the Sun, the One Sun.
In today's world with all the chaos and madness we often experience a sense of being separate not only from each other but also within ourselves. In this workshop we will look specifically at correct technique and safe alignment in each of the elements that make up the Sun Salutations. By applying these techniques we will experience a greater sense of flow and harmony in our Surya Namaskara and within ourselves which in turn fosters harmonious relationships with others.
This workshop will consist of meditation, intention setting, exploring Yoga technique applied specifically to Surya Namaskara, dynamic yoga practice, working in pairs and a generous relaxation.
This workshop is suitable for anyone who has been attending Ashtanga yoga classes from beginners to experienced.
